I make no secret of the fact that I don’t get enough sleep. As a busy mum of three, I am almost always on the go, and even when I stop and lie down at night, my mind struggles to switch off.
I have always been a bit of a worrier, and I was diagnosed with anxiety last year. I find it very hard to relax, and falling asleep has never come that easy to me.
As a resullt, I tend to stay up way too late so that I am tired enough to drop off, but when you are up for the school run early the next morning, this isn’t ideal. I have been struggling more and more to get up in the mornings lately, and I knew something needed to change.
When I was sent some of the bestsellers from the Feather & Down range, as part of their #sleepmatters campaign for National Bed Month, I was eager to try them out, having heard brilliant things about the brand.
My usual sleep spray from Champneys had recently run out, so I was most excited about seeing how the Pillow Spray from Feather & Down compared, especially as it’s cheaper at just £7 for 100ml.
With a sweeter fragrance, which Ed actually said wasn’t too bad (he hated my old spray), the Feather & Down spray contains calming lavender and chamomile essential oils to help you drift off to sleep, whilst also working to calm your mind.
I’ve used this every night (and occasionally some mornings if I have woken up too early and want to go back to sleep) for the past week and I love it.
The spray really helps me to unwind. I use it as a bit of a ritual now, after taking off my makeup and doing my nightly skincare regime, and I think it has helped tell my mind that it’s time to switch off.
I also apply the balm to my temples and wrists just before I drift off, and together I feel like they are really making a difference. I have been going to bed an hour earlier, and getting to sleep without an issue.
I have also switched my usual shower gel for the melting shower cream, and I really like how soft it leaves my skin.
This range is definitely worth a try if you struggle getting to sleep, find it hard to switch off at the end of the day or find yourself waking up throughout the night.
Priced from just £6, and available exclusively at Boots, the Feather & Down range could be the answer to a better night’s sleep.
I was kindly gifted the products from Feather & Down for the purpose of this review, however all opinions and photos are my own.
