As much as I love the summer, the constant heatwaves and pressure to do ‘all the things’ before the kids go back to school, all whilst holding down a full time job and running a business is a bit much at times. I am looking forward to the autumn and a chance to slow down and embrace the comfort of the autumn. One of my absolute favourite parts of the autumn has to be Halloween – I have always enjoyed the excuse to dress up, host a party and get creative with our house decor.
This Halloween, Very have set me a challenge to create a Boo Basket to gift, and I must admit, I have loved doing this! I will admit, as much as I have loved the Boo Basket trend in recent years, it is not something I have ever put together before, but luckily I was in good hands as the Very site has everything all in one place for you to create a gift that will make them smile this Halloween season, no matter who you are creating it for.

I decided to get the children involved and asked them what they would include if they were making a Boo Basket for me and I LOVED what they came up with! We moved into our new house last August and our Halloween party was epic – this year the kids know I want to make it even bigger and better, so they suggested a few Halloween decorations to help get the house looking totally spooky. The wreath will look perfect on our front door, whilst the ghosts are going to help add to the party vibe outside the house. They also suggested a couple of indoor decorations and I have fallen in love with the ceramic pumpkin, which looks beautiful as a bedside light, perfect for catching up on all my Halloween classic books in the lead up to spooky season! The snow globe is also brilliant – I love a snow globe and this is going to take pride of place on the mantelpiece.

The best part of creating a boo basket as a gift is that there are no rules on what can be included – the kids wanted to go with a Trick or Treat theme, so they included all the spooky themed decor, and then threw in some goodies from the Gifts for Her section to make me smile alongside as my ‘treats’. They clearly know me so well as I adore the Iconic brand and cannot wait to get stuck into The Full Face Edit set, which includes my favourite makeup item ever! They know I have been working on my fitness in the gym a lot this year too, so they included the smart watch, which is fantastic value and even has a call function like the much more expensive brands!

I love that they couldn’t resist a cute little teddy, which is so adorable, and they finished the gift off with a Harry Potter charm, which ties in nicely with the cosy autumn vibe nicely. I really love that you can buy everything, basket included, all in one place on the Very website, making it a simple but beautiful gesture for anyone you love this Halloween. Who would you put together a Boo Basket for, and what products would you love to see in a Boo Basket of your own?

This post was created in collaboration with Very. Products featured in this post were gifted for inclusion, however all words and images are my own.
