To Live Would Be an Awfully Big Adventure…

I’m Emma-Louise and I am a mum to three children, Cameron (15) Carly (13) and Benjamin (9).

I married my husband Ed in Santorini, and we live with the children in the beautiful area of Bournemouth, Dorset.

A passionate writer from a young age, I started blogging back in January 2011 on my first website From FallenAngel to Yummy Mummy. I have also written for More magazine, The Singles Warehouse and Your Baby Club as well as guest blogging for many others over the years.

We bought a 1920s house in August 2025 that we are redecorating so expect some interiors content as well as general lifestyle, restaurant reviews and travel pieces.

With three children keeping me on my toes, I’m keen to remind myself and others that I’m not ‘just’ a mum, focusing also on writing about my love for beauty and style (especially preloved bargain buys) alongside being a parent.

As well as blogging, I also work full time as Digital Marketing Manager for a local collection of hotels and am writing my first novel! Alongside this, I run the local influencer network, the Dorset Digital Storytellers, which is really rewarding, as well as setting up my own PR and Influencer Marketing brand for 2026!

From time to time I will post reviews of products and services myself and my family use. Full disclosure is provided in posts containing items provided for review purposes. I also occasionally work on sponsored posts, which I am paid for. Again, these are disclosed accordingly.
