My Monthly Plans – November

Eek, its November and with it comes cosy nights under the duvet, comfort food and lots of Christmas shopping!

After getting married in Santorini at the end of summer, I’ve been counting down the days until our blessing and reception back home and I’m so excited it’s finally here!

We have a bit of a slower, more chilled out month ahead and I’m looking forward to some quality time with my family.

Here’s what we have to look forward to in November…

1st – Benjamin’s Jabs

Ok, so I’m not looking forward to these, but it’s a necessary evil and I am glad to be getting it out of the way. I can’t really remember the one year immunisations from when the older two had them but I’ve heard they are pretty awful so I’m stocking up on calpol and preparing for lots of cuddles.
2nd – Pamper Day

I’m so excited for a pamper morning with my mum at our local beauty salon in preparation for the wedding reception. I’m having a gel manicure and pedicure and my eyebrows waxed (so needed). We are following it up with lunch and a glass of bubbles (for me, my mum doesn’t drink) – can’t wait!

3rd – CBT Session

CBT has been really helping me with my anxiety, but unfortunately my therapist then went away for a few weeks on holiday and I feel I’ve kind of gone backwards quite rapidly. I’m a bit nervous about going back this week, but I’m also looking forward to working on things again. It’s going to be so tough but so worth it!

4th – Our Wedding Blessing & Reception

The wait is over! I am really looking forward to seeing friends and family and celebrating our wedding again. I’m not wearing my original wedding dress but have a new one to wear for the day and I am so excited to wear it and dance the night away!
8th – Christmas Shopping Trip 1
Yes, I’m one of those people who meticulously plan their Christmas shopping trips with military precision. I have been writing down my Christmas shopping list and I have a good idea what I want and from which shops. I may get it all done in one day, but in case I don’t, I’ve planned a second trip.

9th – Benjamin Art & Craft Class and Ed’s Graduation

Worried I wasted my maternity leave not really doing anything with Benjamin, I’ve been looking into classes to take him to now I’ve handed in my notice at work and am working on my blog from home. He really enjoys the baby gym I’ve been taking him to, and I’ve now signed him up for an arts and crafts session on Thursdays and I’m really looking forward to starting it. We will be going along with a friend and her little boy and I really think it will do me good to get out of the house and do something each week.

This week I am heading straight off afterwards for Ed’s graduation – proud wife alert! I’m really happy he finished his degree despite it being hard going completing it alongside a full time job, and it’s going to be lovely to be there for him and celebrate afterwards.

14th – Mum’s Birthday

My mum’s birthday is the perfect excuse to head out to the cinema to watch Bad Moms 2. I love the original and if there was anything that could improve that film it would be adding Christmas into the mix, so I’m majorly looking forward to this. It’ll be so nice to hang out with the females in the family to watch this and celebrate with my amazing mum.

16th – Carly’s Birthday

Ahhh my little Carly bear is not so little anymore. She’s turning five and I’m so excited but also a little gutted as, apart from having breakfast with her before the school run, I won’t see her on her actual birthday to celebrate and will have to wait until the weekend #blendedfamiliessuck. I know she will have an awesome time celebrating with her dad and his family though.

19th – Carly’s Birthday Celebrations

Carly’s having a proper big party on the Saturday with her dad, so we have a smaller celebration planned for the Sunday. We are taking her bowling with a few of her new school friends, and then for some food and birthday cake. It’s low key but I like it, I’m not a fan of huge kids parties and it’ll be nice for Carly to get to know some of her school friends a bit better.

22nd – Christmas Shopping Trip 2

The second Christmas shopping trip is also a chance to stock up on wrapping paper, bows and Christmas cards. I absolutely love this time of year!

I also want to try and meet up with some friends this month as my anxiety has meant I’ve neglected friendships lately. I’m really looking forward to seeing some of them at our wedding reception on Saturday though!
