5 Current Fave Foodie Spots in Bournemouth

I make no secret of the fact that I love food. I would quite happily make every social occasion I attend involve eating if I could, and I have been to a fair few of the local restaurants in the Bournemouth area. My favourite places to go to eat are always changing, but there are some spots that I go back to again and again because the food is so good. These are my five current fave foodie spots in and around Bournemouth. You can thank me later…

Inn in the Park

Ed and I had a little mini break at this traditionally styled pub located close to Branksome beach over the summer and we really enjoyed the food. Locally sourced, and freshly prepared on-site by a talented chef, the menu includes several pub classics as well as an ever-changing specials board with plenty of delicious options to choose from.

Hotel du Vin

This restaurant is located just back from Poole Quay and features mouthwatering meals to savour and enjoy alongside an extensive wine and drinks menu. Ed and I had a lovely date night, enjoying their Prix Fixe menu recently, and we need to go back again just for the tantalising warm Portland pudding. Yum!

I went for lunch at NEO with Rachael from The 15 Mile Foodie over the summer and we enjoyed options from the a la carte menu but the popular seaside venue also have an affordable menu offering delicious choices such as fish and chips and the NEO burger. With generous portion sizes and an unbeatable view, this is the place to visit for a special occasion.

The Stable

I have worked with The Stable in Bournemouth a couple of times over the past few months, and my cousin works in the Poole branch, so I have had a lot of time to sample the pizzas at this popular chain restaurant. They have an app which allows you to build up ‘slices’, which you can then cash in for free sides, drinks, puddings and even main courses. As well as pizzas and pies, The Stable are known for their ciders, of which there are plenty to choose from on your next visit!

The Real Greek

Ever since we got married in Santorini I have had a soft spot for Greek food and The Real Greek is the perfect place to visit to get a little taste of Greece. Their outside terrace is the place to be on sunny afternoons, and their menu is great for eating with friends, when you can try a bit of everything between yourselves. I live for their Halloumi fries and Souvlaki wraps. I am hungry just thinking about them.
