Recently I was invited along with some of the other Bournemouth Bloggers to enjoy dinner and drinks at Revolution Bournemouth. Having visited a couple of months ago with Ed, I already knew that the food was tasty, but I was looking forward to having a nice catch up with the girls and trying some of the new items on the menu.
We arrived at 6pm and were shown to our table in the corner and offered a cocktail. Revolution Bournemouth offer 2-for-1 cocktails everyday until 9pm, so Ciara and I had a Pornstar Martini each – my favourite!
Drink in hand, we started discussing what we would be choosing to eat, as we wanted to have a real mixture of items from the menu. It was quite funny as there was a little bit of rivalry over some of the more popular dishes!
I decided to try the Revs Fried Chicken as a grazing dish to start, followed by the Spicy Vodka Chicken pizza for my main. We already had our eye on the dessert menu, there was a lot to choose from and everything sounded really good.
It was fairly busy and service wasn’t the fastest, but we used our time between courses having little photoshoots with each other around the venue. With lots of retro decor and fun light signs dotted around the restaurant and bar areas, we were in our element snapping away and had worked up an appetite by the time our food arrived.
Both my starter and main were really tasty, although the pizza was so huge I ended up having to have a few slices boxed up so that I was able to leave room for my dessert.
I went for the Cookie Dough S’more, which was yummy but a little tricky to get out of the dish, as the marshmallow was stuck to the bottom. It was also very sickly, especially after eating so much pizza, so I couldn’t manage it all.
I had a lovely evening, and will definitely be back for more 2-for-1 cocktails and pizza soon!
We were provided with complimentary food and drink in exchange for mentions across social media on the night. I was not asked to write this blog post and all words and images are my own.
