It probably comes as no surprise that I am a self-confessed girly girl. I love the colour pink, I like anything that sparkles, shimmers or shines, and when it comes to fragrances, the more feminine the better!
I love perfume, and have done for as long as I can remember. I have memories of my mum spritzing on her favourite scent back when I was a child, and as soon as I was old enough, I happily started spraying it on to my hearts content.
Every birthday and Christmas I ask for a new perfume, and I have amassed quite a collection over the past few years.
I thought today I would share with you some of my current feminine favourites.
Lancome – La Vie est Belle
This scent was recommended to me by my dad’s girlfriend and I am a total convert having bought the gift set in the sales. It is my current everyday perfume, and I love how feminine it smells.
The scent is quite strong, and lasts really well throughout the day without needing to top it up. A little goes a long way, and I find myself smelling this perfume on my clothes long afterwards.
It is quite a sweet scent, but not overpowering, and I have had lots of compliments whilst wearing this one.
Ghost – Sweetheart Forever
I originally bought this perfume as my wedding fragrance because I loved the name, but I just wasn’t sure if it was right for the occasion. I have always associated Ghost with teenagers, and so I wasn’t sure it was sophisticated enough.
Although ultimately I didn’t wear it for my wedding day itself, I did still take it out to Santorini with me and used it for the rest of the trip. Now this scent reminds me of long, hot days on that beautiful island.
It’s a fun, fairly strong scent, which lingers, and it’s now a firm favourite, despite my original misgivings.
Nina Ricci – Nina
I was recently sent this perfume by Perfume Click to include in my Valentine’s Gift Guide for Her and I have totally fallen in love with it.
The scent is very girly and sweet. It lasts really well, and is a brilliant everyday fragrance.
I have since found out that one of my best friends has worn this perfume for years and swears by it.
Miss Dior – Absolutely Blooming
This was my bridal scent, and takes me back to my wedding day everytime I wear it. I tend to keep this one for special occasions – date nights, birthdays and anniversaries.
It is a strong, long lasting and floral distinctive scent, which makes me feel amazing whenever I spritz it on.
I recently wore this for Valentine’s Day and I’ll be taking it along to Mexico for our honeymoon.
If you fancy trying out a new scent, but aren’t sure which one would be right for you, the Secret Scent Box, which I recently featured in my gift guide, is the perfect way to find a new favourite without committing yourself.
I was sent the February Edition of Secret Scent Box and the Nina Ricci perfume to try out for my gift guide, however I was under no obligation to write this post and all opinions and photos are my own.
