Beauty – My Max Factor Makeup Mini Haul

I absolutely love buying new makeup. It is one of my guilty pleasures and one of the only things I will justify spending money on for myself as makeup makes me feel more human after days on end of sleepless nights.

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll know that I’ve been on the hunt for the ‘perfect’ foundation for quite some time without much success. It’s early days but so far I’m very impressed with my latest purchase from Max Factor.

I headed into Boots before going away for a couple of nights with my mum and the boys last week as I was running low on my No7 foundation. I’d had a little google searching for a new foundation to try and I had seen a couple of beauty bloggers raving about Max Factor’s  Face Finity 3 in 1 foundation. It claims to be a primer, concealer and foundation in one handy product that keeps you looking flawless all day.

When I had a look, there was an offer on where you received a free gift of three full size products (worth £28) when you spent £15 or more on Max Factor makeup. After deliberating for awhile on what to get to spend enough to qualify for the free gift, I settled on a lip liner in shade 02 Pink Petal and a lipstick in shade 510 English Rose. The free products were the False Lash Effect mascara, Miracle Touch cream blush  in shade 14 soft pink and a nail lacquer in shade Patent Poppy.

Whilst I was away I started using the new makeup items together and I loved how I looked. My skin had been looking quite dull lately, and I hadn’t really made much of an effort with my makeup. Adding a pop of colour to my cheeks and lips made all the difference and I will definitely be heading back to Max Factor for some more lipstick shades before we fly out to Santorini as it’s soft and non drying and the colour is long lasting when used alongside the lip liner.

I am a big fan of cream blushers, and although this one is in a small pot, a little goes a long way. The mascara is brilliant at opening up my eyes and the thick wand makes application quick and simple. I haven’t used the nail polish just yet as I have shellac on my nails at the moment, but the shade is so summery!

As for the foundation, the jury is out at the moment, but it’s certainly my favourite so far, smoothing over and covering up all my dark circles, red patches and blemishes, and making me look healthy and awake even on broken sleep.

Do you use any Max Factor makeup? What items should I try next?

I am more of a Rimmel fan, but I am always after a new foundation as skin changes all the time with hormones!

Maxfactor is my go to foundation! The only one that doesn’t make me patchy. (I use the age elixir one) I’ve never tried any of the other maxfactor products though, will have to give them a go. You look gorgeous btw! x
