I’ll admit it, I am a total sucker for Valentine’s Day. I am a romantic person so naturally I love any excuse to bring out the hearts and flowers.
Since I met Ed, we have begun a little tradition where he surprises me with an activity for valentines. Last year he took me horse riding, my first time, and I loved it. It was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me.
Sounds ominous and it was a little, especially before I realised what it was and was a little concerned it would involve challenging my severe claustrophobia. It turned out to be a shooting range – Ed had booked for us to shoot some guns for the afternoon.
What I love about being with Ed is that he challenges me to do things I never imagined I would do, and he always manages to plan things I totally enjoy. It may not have involved hearts and flowers, but it was making memories we will remember for a lifetime together, and to me that’s way better.
After shooting, we headed back home and to the cinema to watch Deadpool (Ed’s vday present). I wasn’t expecting to like it but it was actually a lot of fun. We even had time afterwards to watch The Sweetest Thing on TV whilst having a yummy carpet picnic of curry with mimosas- yum! Perfect Valentine’s Day a day early.
This morning I was woken up with bacon sandwiches and a Valentine’s cupcake and a lovely pandora charm. I had gotten Ed a Reece’s peanut butter heart, which I think he loved as it was gone in a few seconds.
Today Ed has been busy with uni work and I’ve been packing up my house ready to move in with him so we haven’t seen much of each other, but I plan on a walking deadathon with him tonight and he did write a very soppy Facebook status about me so I’m one happy girly this afternoon. Have vday to all my readers. Love makes everything better.
