If you’ve been following my house move posts over the past six months or so you will know that our completion date was 22nd December, just a few short days before Christmas. Everything went pretty smoothly in the end, after a very stressful journey up until that point, and we got the keys just before midday and had moved most of our belongings across to the new house by the end of that first day.

We managed to get sorted enough to enjoy the Christmas period before getting the final bits organised over the New Year. We made the decision to prioritise the driveway and the kitchen/diner as our first proper projects, and these will hopefully be done in the next few months, once we have saved some more money.

For now, it is about making the most of what we have, and planning for the future. We are lucky, as the house is in a liveable condition, and we are able to take things slowly and do the work as and when we can afford to, rather than rushing anything. I am itching to get the wallpaper down in the hallway and landing, so I think that will be something we will get on with in the meantime, as well as redecorating the lounge, which is otherwise in a good condition and doesn’t need much done to it.

The downstairs toilet room is almost so bad it’s good, and I must admit, it’s growing on me! I’m sure we will do something with it eventually though. For now, we are looking at getting quotes for the work we need to have done to the drive and kitchen.

I will be sharing our home renovation journey on the blog and via Instagram (@evenangelsfallblog) so make sure you keep up with the updates. If you have any advice on a home renovation, especially in relation to a kitchen/diner conversion, let me know in the comments, this is all new to us!
