Getting fit without effort is perfectly possible if you know how. You don’t need to pack into a sweaty gym like a flustered sardine to lose weight or tone up, as there are plenty of ways to do it at home. From walking a bit more to changing the diet, here are some handy suggestions.

Move a Little Bit More

Not everyone has that drive that makes you want to stop moving like a fly with a rocket up its… never mind! Okay, so you’re getting a little bit saggy in places you didn’t even know you had, and you feel bad. Well, you will need to exercise. But before you go bolting for the door, consider the best way to lose weight without exercise: moving more. Any kind of movement burns calories, and chores, dancing, and yeah, a bit of sack time combine towards your goals.

Ditch the Car or Public Transport

It’s so convenient having a car that you pretty much use it for everything. You know you’ve gone to the corner shop in the motor when you could have just as easily walked it! But imagine all the steps you would have gotten in all those times you used the car instead of just getting up off your behind and briskly heading out for another bottle of milk. The same goes for public transport, too. You can get some serious extra steps by getting off the bus a few stops early.

Getting Fit Without Effort with VR Gaming

There are over 3 billion gamers in the world today and counting. Virtual reality games add another dimension (literally) to gaming and can help you perfect your fitness routine by making it fun to do. So, without too much babble, here are some of the most fun but physical VR games:

  • Creed: Rise to Glory is a boxing game where you can enjoy montages with Rocky!
  • Killing zombies in The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners is as fun as it is strenuous.
  • Horizon: Call of the Mountain offers the beauty of the franchise while working your arms.

Change What You Eat

So, the big one: diet! You’ve probably tried every fad diet under the sun, but nothing seems to work, and that’s exactly why they are called fads! The truth is, you don’t have to make like a rabbit and eat only lettuce, or bust your guts on the Atkins! Calorie control and healthy options can make a big difference. And yes, you can have doughnuts. But how about once per week as a treat for hitting goals, instead of three per day just to make yourself feel better, then worse?

Make Getting Healthy Fun

A lot of people don’t try to get healthier because it requires many changes that can seem like a lot. However, you can start small and make it fun. For example, just a video game console and Just Dance will get you off the couch and shuffling like Mr. Burns on adderall, enjoying your favourite songs, all the while, burning calories! Of course, you can make your health goals social, and there’s nothing like group encouragement to boost your fitness goal confidence.

Summary

Moving a little bit more is a great start to getting fit without effort, as you do the chores like Wonder Woman on payday. However, VR gaming offers a way to enjoy burning calories while not even noticing, just like getting together and exercising with a group of close friends.
