Press Visit

Whether your 2024 goals are to lose weight, tone up or just feel a little more confident heading to the gym, Beauty Sculpting Room have a range of treatments available that are sure to help kickstart the resolutions and have you feeling better about your body ready for the year ahead.

I have previously been to Beauty Sculpting Room in Poole and was pleased to be invited along to their newest branch in Lymington to try out their Ultra Tesla toning and Fat Freeze treatments to kickstart my tummy toning. The clinic is really easy to find, right on the Highstreet in Lymington, opposite Stanwell House Hotel. There’s a handy car park just behind the Tesco a few doors up the hill, making it really simple to visit for your treatment.

The decor is beautiful, such a nice aesthetic and  calming, cosy and relaxing for your treatments this winter. I love that there is a TV that you can watch whilst you lie back and the machine does the work for you – for the fat freeze you can literally Netflix and chill!

Stacey and Hetty were lovely, letting me know about the treatments I was having done each day and going through the process with me so that I fully understood (there is also information provided at the point of booking which goes over a medical questionnaire and any side effects etc that could happen, to be aware of). I felt comfortable and secure on both visits with what I was having done.

For the Ultra Tesla toning, it was a quick 30 minute treatment. I had my abs connected, with the equivalent of 20,000 crunches, though you can have this on other areas including your arms, thighs or glutes (definitely need to give that a go at some point, my bum is not as peachy as I’d like it to be). The machine goes up to 100, which is what I had it on, but you can have it set lower if it feels too strong for you. I didn’t find this painful, it was just a bit of strange sensation, which you get used to quite quickly. The weirdest part is between each set where it sort of clicks and your body almost jumps a little. Again, not painful at all and I actually found myself really enjoying this treatment. For a couple of days afterwards I could really tell I had had something done, it felt like when I have done a big workout at the gym, and I did feel toned and motivated to continue the work following the treatment. It is best to have a few sessions to really notice the toning effect, but it’s great for a little boost or when you don’t have the time or energy to workout at the gym but want or need to look toned and feel good.

For my fat freezing treatment, I must admit I was a little nervous as I didn’t really know what to expect. Hetty was brilliant at easing my mind though and talked me through everything at the start as she applied what resembled a very large sheet mask to my belly (again, you can have this done on different areas, I needed to work on my lower belly the most, so this is where I had it applied). The machine is then attached to the area, which first warms and then cools the fat, which is sucked into the applicator. The warming wasn’t too bad but I will say when the cooling started, I felt a little like I wanted to rip the machine off of me. This literally only lasted for around 10 minutes maximum, before the area became numb and I couldn’t feel anything. It wasn’t painful, as such, but definitely some discomfort. I kept myself distracted watching Friends and it was worth it when the feeling subsided and the treatment continued. At the end of the 45 minutes, Hetty came to remove the applicator and massage the area, which was very red and quite tender (although also still pretty numb). She explained that I needed to drink lots of water in the days and weeks following treatment, to flush the fat out of my lymphatic system, and that I must massage the area for five minutes twice a day.

Afterwards I was good to go right away with no down time. The area felt a little odd and numb for the rest of the day but by the next day all was generally back to normal. I did massage the area and drink lots of water for the first few days but then fell unwell with tonsillitis and rested a lot of the time, which meant I skipped the gym and wasn’t eating as well as I intended to, being too weak to prepare proper meals. I am now on the mend and back to working out – I attend a spin class a few times a week and pole fitness every Thursday, and I am confident that the results will be good when I return to the clinic.

I would recommend visiting Beauty Sculpting Room if you are feeling self conscious about an area of your body, or if you want to kickstart some body goals this year. I have been really aware of my lower belly for a long time, as the stubborn fat just doesn’t seem to want to go from exercise alone, following the birth of my three kids, and these treatments have helped boost my confidence and given me the motivation to keep working on myself in the gym and taking care of my nutrition too. Get in touch with Stacey and the team to find out more or visit their clinics in Poole or Lymington to book your treatments in direct.

I was kindly gifted a Tesla Toning and Fat Freeze session in exchange for an honest review of the service, however all words and images are my own.
