The summer holidays may be drawing to a close, but summer is far from over – have you noticed that often the sun gets a second wind in September? I have worked with Very to put together my very own summer capsule wardrobe, perfect for these long evenings and balmy days, where the sun is shining, but also easily transitioned to autumn with some layering, all available to buy online – perfect for this busy working mum who doesn’t have time to shop for new clothes often! First up is my favourite pairing, this beautifully floaty, lightweight maxi dress in the coolest pops of colour – it brightens my day up just slipping this one on. I’ve paired it with the comfiest of footwear out there, the trusty Converse, which I chose in this bright pink tone, which will go with so many things and will bring a bit of sunshine to my outfits even once the season ends! I have had my old Converse for years, and am so impressed with the wear on these shoes, honestly, they have gone through a lot and still look and feel great. The dress is really generously sized, so size down rather than up, if you are between sizes, and this would also be suitable for pregnant women, as it is really roomy, and so comfy to wear in the heat.
Next is the red dress of dreams, which can be easily dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. I wore this for a day out with the children and then jazzed it up for early evening drinks at the pub for an impromptu date night, with a quick change of shoe! The flat white sandals are super cute and so summery, I have been wearing them with everything since they arrived in the post. They are really versatile as well, I have worn them with jeans, shorts, summer dresses and workwear, and they go with everything.
The heeled sandals are also lovely, understated and comfortable whilst still looking really nice on! The heel isn’t too high, which meant that I was able to walk to and from the pub without complaining – a bonus!
I was about to checkout when I saw these gorgeous sunglasses that totally completed the outfits – the summer staple you just can’t forget about! They are a similar style to the glasses I usually opt for, but a little more delicate and feminine, I love them!
