When it comes to owning a puppy, one of the things I think I was least prepared for was how dirty and smelly they can get, especially after walks in all the rain we have been having here in the UK lately (summer, what summer?). Luckily, I have been sent across some goodies from petcare brand Sniffe & Likkit, who have a whole collection of products to help tackle doggy odours. I have been using the products over the past few weeks and I am really impressed with them. Read on to find out what the products do to help tackle odour, and keep my 7 month old puppy clean and fresh.
Fragrant Fur Coat
I had previously been sent this 3 in 1 shampoo as part of a gift guide, and it is all I use on Bella when she has her showers (she is not a bath dog). It has quite a strong scent to it, but it foams up really nice and is made with mild and gentle ingredients. The built in brightening boosters and conditioning agents keep Bella’s coat looking super soft and shiny – I have had lots of compliments on how good she looks.
No Rinse Charming
For the days in between shower time for Bella, this dry shampoo for dogs is the perfect solution. It is 100% natural, with no need to rinse, and has a blend of organic powders that work to rid dogs of dirt, leaving a smooth and silky coat.
Give a Dog Cologne
This conditioning mist is a godsend after a particularly smelly walk, or if Bella has had an accident inside the house. I use it to freshen her and the air around her up, for the benefit of the whole family. The fine mist has a lovely cocktail of essential oils, as well as fur conditioning agents, that keep the fur smelling and looking great with just a spritz or two.
Scent Somethin’ Nice
This scented hanging sachet helps to leave your personal spaces fresh, even when the dogs are around. They are infused with a woodland aroma, inspired by dog walks out in nature, and can be hung on hooks, doorknobs or in cars, to help remove the odorous smell of dogs from the air.
Fab Paw
I had never thought before I got Bella, how hot the pavements get. I try and avoid taking Bella for walks during peak sunshine hours, but this balm is perfect for soothing her paw pads if they have got a little hot or sore from a walk. The melting butter balm has natural ingredients to soothe the skin, and it can be used as a preventive measure to protect against sores.
Wippets
These fragrant paw cleansing wipes are so quick and easy to use and are perfect to have to hand after a walk, especially if your puppy is prone to walking in mud or other dirty and unpleasant things. They are brilliant if you are going to visit somebody else’s house too – a quick wipe of the paws will ensure you won’t be leaving muddy paw prints all through their house.
