As I have mentioned before, I enjoy exploring people’s different interests and passions. Swinging isn’t something that I would personally look into doing myself, but it is a fun and exciting part of many people’s lives. Today I wanted to share with you an insight into the world of swinging as an older couple, including senior swinging sites and top tips for those considering swinging for the first time.
What is Swinging?
Swinging is an activity where people in a relationship engage sexually with others. It is not cheating, as both parties are honest about what they are doing, it is a form of open relationship and can work to strengthen a relationship, and add variety to sex lives, especially in long term couples.

Research
Doing your research in advance means that you are going into something new and exciting with an understanding of what is involved and whether you feel it is right for you, as a couple. You can find lots of information online, and even read interviews with other older couples who have experienced swinging themselves. The more research you do, in advance, the better prepared you will be going into this new world together, and the less likely you will regret the decision.
Understand Which Type is For You
It may not have been something you ever considered for yourself, but perhaps you are intrigued and looking to find out more about what is involved in the swinging lifestyle. There are different types of swinging and, if it is something you might be considering for you and your partner, it is important to understand which type is the most suitable for both of you.
The main types of swinging include soft, closed and open swinging. Soft swinging is centred around engaging in foreplay with multiple sexual partners in one space, and full sex with your partner only. Closed swinging is having sex with another person, away from your partner and it can involve whatever sexual acts you would like, and have agreed upon as being ok, in private. Open Swinging involves multiple people having sex with you and/or your partner, in front of each other.

Agree on Rules
Once you know the different types of swinging, and have agreed upon which is best for you, it is important to lay down some ground rules, to help prevent either of you from getting hurt or becoming jealous further down the line. Sit down and go through everything, including what you will do if either one of you is no longer happy with what you are doing, and how you will deal with this.
Swinging can be a perfectly healthy part of a relationship, but only with honesty, making sure you are both comfortable with what is happening whilst together and, in the case of closed swinging, apart as well. For soft swinging, it is fairly standard to agree upon which level of foreplay is acceptable in advance, for example whether it should stop at touching, kissing or oral sex.

Be Safe
Remember, it is so important to stay safe when engaging in sexual practises, especially those that involved other parties. Do your research and visit reputable older swinging sites, if you are looking for new partners, and make sure you read reviews and read up on any venues you might visit to take part in sexual activities alone or as a couple, to minimise risk. Always practise safe sex, and check in with each other often, to ensure your relationship remains strong throughout these new adventures.
