I haven’t done one of these posts in awhile so I thought I’d share some of the shows that I’m watching on Netflix this September. These are all currently available to watch on Netflix, at the time of writing. Enjoy!
It took me until the second episode to properly get into this series, but once I did, I was hooked. We’ve been limiting ourselves to one a night as we haven’t been getting to bed until late, so we still have some episodes left to go, but I would definitely recommend. It is quite hard going, and tough to watch in places (there is violence, sexual assault and baby loss), but it’s really compelling viewing.
I tend to look up shows and films on IMDb before watching, to see what other people think and the overall rating, and this show had pretty good feedback so we gave it a go. I got really into it, but Ed wasn’t as sure, so we are focusing on The Fall for now and will revisit. It’s focused on an American high school cheerleading squad, with a dark storyline. Think Pretty Little Liars/Riverdale.
You, Me, Her
I actually watched You, Me, Her previously but started rewatching it recently and I’m really enjoying it again. I love how taboo the subject matter is, and it’s fascinating to watch the relationship develop between the three main characters, and how their friends and family react. It’s not for everybody, but I find it light hearted comedy alongside some pretty hot scenes with good chemistry, especially between the women.
Dirty John – Betty Broderick
Ok, I’m going to be honest here and say I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this one. I was addicted to the first series of Dirty John and I didn’t know how they would create another series. This storyline is entirely different and it started off quite slow. We haven’t finished watching just yet, so I can’t comment further, but where we are up to, it has picked up pace and I’m interested to see where it goes next.
