Spring Stay at Home Style

Although I don’t ‘follow fashion’, I do love sharing my own personal style in these posts. It is a little more challenging, when you are confined to your own home, with only a garden to escape to other than your daily exercise allowance, however I wanted to share some of the outfits I have been wearing whilst on lockdown, including a gorgeous tailored coat, which I was sent prior to the current restrictions.

The Perfect Spring Trench

The reason this trench from Sumissura feels incredible to wear is that it has been tailored to my measurements using a really simple to use online ordering system, which also allows you to personalise your trench to suit your own individual style. Everything from the colour of the coat and lining, to the choice of button placement and whether you want pockets or straps is your own choice. You can even add initials to the lining – perfect if you are gifting the item.

As well as coats, Sumissura also offer tailored shirts, dresses and suits, with the possibility to tailor each item to your measurements and make it your own with personalisation options. I chose the Army Green as it will go with everything and is really flattering for my hair and skin tone, but I was tempted by the pink as well – such a pretty colour for spring.

The Pretty Pink Tee

I have made a conscious effort over the past year or so to avoid wearing dark colours all the time and adding some pastel and brights to my wardrobe. This pretty pink tee is a little see-through, so you will need to wear it with a white cami unless you have a lot of confidence, but I love how it looks paired with a simple pair of jeans and sandals. Great for spring weather.

The Flattering Wrap Top

This top is something I managed to wear out of the house before the country went into lockdown and I love how flattering the style is for my figure, covering up the stomach area, and highlighting my curves in the right places. The material is lovely and soft to the touch too – I can’t wait to wear it out for meals once things are back to normal!

The Mom Jeans

I have avoided Mom jeans for so long as I never saw them as very flattering, but my mind has been changed by this New Look pair, which I have been wearing with everything. I love how they look paired with a plain white or black tee and some heeled sandals. The style means that my tummy is covered, which is great as it is the part of my body I am most conscious of.

The Comfy PJs

I couldn’t put together a style post for lockdown without featuring some pjs. Unfortunately I noticed there was a hole in the bottoms after taking these photos and they were out of stock when I went to buy another pair, but there are plenty of others available from New Look (I may or may not be getting another two pairs for my birthday in a couple of weeks). Please tell me I am not alone in wearing pjs some days to just hang around the house?

What have you been wearing during the lockdown? Are you living in loungewear or do you prefer to dress as you would if you were going out as normal?
