Summer Garden Party Outfits with Kit and Kaboodal

Summer is almost upon us (if only the weather would get the memo), and with it comes plenty of garden parties and barbecues to enjoy with friends, family and loved ones.

I am a big fan of the humble garden party, they generally involve minimal fuss and maximum fun. Dressing for a garden party is another story. I never know whether to go casual or dressed up, and finding an outfit that will work with the UK climate is always a challenge.

Luckily, Kit and Kaboodal have you covered when it comes to summer outfits to suit all occasions. Their clothing line, suitable for a range of sizes, is the perfect mix of stylish and relaxed – perfect garden party attire!

I was sent across a few items from the Kit and Kaboodal team and I love them! The styles are not what I would normally wear, but it’s been liberating stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new. The quality of the material used by Kit and Kaboodal is fantastic. The clothing feels like it will last and last, and is so comfortable to wear. The pieces are really easy to style up and down too.

I think my favourite has to be the Tebay Floral dress. It is just so bright and colourful and can bring a smile to my face just putting it on. Kit and Kaboodal work on a one size fits all basis (check out individual product descriptions for size ranges of this) and, as a size 10-12, the dress is nice and loose and flowy (apparently flowy isn’t a word, but I’m going with it). I love the summery pattern, and the fact that it hides a multitude of sins, if I load up my plate at a barbecue.

I will admit, I wasn’t 100% sure about the Moffat Jumpsuit when I saw it online. Having had three children, the part of my body I am most self-conscious about is my stomach, and I try and avoid any material which is too clingy in this area. The jumpsuit is made with viscose and elastic, so is stretchy and loose, but, as with most jumpsuits, it comes together around the middle.

I was surprised to find the material didn’t cling as I thought it would, and it was so comfortable to wear. I love the colour too, a nice deep blush pink colour, which suits my blonde hair. Plus, it has pockets – the holy grail of women’s clothing!

I loved the look of this Tiverton Splash Dress when I saw it on the website. It is more ‘out there’ than anything I usually wear, but I really like the design and think it would be perfect for laid back summer days in the garden with a glass of wine in hand. It is nice and stretchy, and a flattering cut, and I love the maxi length, which covers up my pale legs.

Last, but certainly not least, the Zama Off the Shoulder Top is something I never would have normally considered but I love it! The design is really unique, and it would look just as good with a maxi skirt or pair of denim shorts as it does with jeans, making it a versatile piece for the wardrobe. A word of warning – this lace top is quite sheer, so you will need to wear a bra, and you may also wish to wear a cami top underneath as well.

I have had so many compliments since wearing clothing from Kit and Kaboodal. It isn’t a brand I had heard of before, but I am now singing their praises as I genuinely love how comfortable and different their range is compared to high street brands. I definitely recommend checking out their website if you are looking to update your wardrobe for the new season.

Items featured in this post have been gifted from Kit and Kaboodal, however all words and images are my own.
