Mummy Mondays – The Perfect Personalised Present

Benjamin turns two in just over a week and, disbelief at how fast the past two years have gone by aside, we have been looking at what to get for him now he has started to properly understand the concept of receiving gifts. Benjamin, like his older brother and sister, has started showing an interest in books and loves being read to. When the team behind In the Book got in touch asking if I would like to be sent a personalised book from their range I knew it would be the perfect present for Benjamin’s birthday.

The website had an impressive collection of titles to choose from, all able to be personalised to make a truly special and unique gift for the recipient. I was a little overwhelmed by the choice but the website is really user friendly and allowed me to search by age, character and occasion as well as breaking the sections down into popular categories such as Disney and Marvel titles and books where you are able to upload photos to include.

When I came across the Peter Rabbit Plush Toy and Book I knew it would be perfect for Benjamin. I have always loved the Peter Rabbit range when buying for Benjamin as we often refer to him as the character from the books Benjamin bunny. This gift set is brilliant as it includes a soft toy to go with the book, which I know Benjamin will be a fan of as he likes to hold onto something whilst listening to stories at bedtime.

The personalisation process was really simple, I just needed to put in Benjamin’s name and a message to go at the start of the book and it was all done. The set comes with a free gift box, which saves on wrapping paper! Delivery was quick (although if you have left things to the last minute, the website does provide the option for next day delivery) and I received the set through the post, packaged well to avoid damage in transit.

The gift box itself is beautiful, I almost didn’t want to open the ribbon as it looked so lovely.

Inside were the plush toy and personalised book, which is a ‘guide to life’, with lots of little tales around this central theme, including well loved characters from the Beatrix Potter tales. Having grown up myself listening to these stories, it was lovely to look through and I will really enjoy reading this with Benjamin and the other children.

The Peter Rabbit toy is nice and soft and I can see Carly stealing it from Benjamin if he’s not careful! I am impressed with the gift set and I am sure that Benjamin will love it too. As well as a birthday present for young children, it would also make a fantastic Christening or Naming Day gift or the perfect present for Christmas.

I was sent the gift set featured in this post for the purpose of this review, however all words and images are my own.
