Since Benjamin stopped breastfeeding, he has struggled to get himself off to sleep like he used to. We generally try to give him an item of my clothing that I have been wearing that day, but it isn’t always feasible.
When I was asked by Summer Infant whether I would like to review their Little Heartbeats Soother Hedgehog, I figured it would be perfect for Benjamin as an alternative way to comfort him at bedtime.
When we received the hedgehog soother, Benjamin was very keen to open it up and give it a cuddle.
I really like the design of the hedgehog, and love the little blanket detail – it’s brilliant for spraying a little of my perfume on during the day so that the scent of me remains at bedtime as a comfort for Benjamin.
One of the main features of the soother is its realistic heartbeat sound effects. There is an audible version and one that is just the beat, and both work really well at settling Benjamin if he is feeling a little anxious or overtired.
Although the Little Heartbeats Soother Hedgehog is aimed at newborn babies, I think it works fantastically as a comforter for older babies and toddlers. Benjamin loves cuddling up to it, and I think it has definitely been helpful during the transition from breastfeeding.
I was sent the Little Heartbeats Soother Hedgehog from Summer Infant for the purpose of this review, however all opinions and images are my own.
