5 Things I’m Looking Forward to This Christmas

As I may have mentioned *ahem*, Christmas is my favourite time of the year and I have made lots of fun festive plans for this month to fully immerse myself in the Christmas spirit….

Here are the 5 things I am most looking forward to this Christmas..

Christmas Baking

I love baking but I never really make time for it. Christmas is the perfect excuse to get creative in the kitchen and, although I tend to cheat and use packet mixes to save time, I love making festive treats with the kids (and eating our creations afterwards, obviously).

Seeing Santa

I’m such a child at heart – Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit to see santa. I’m not so keen on the traditional grotto experience these days, it all feels too rushed and a lot of money for what you get.

For the last few years we’ve been going to our local garden centre for their breakfast with santa, and it’s much better in my opinion!

As well as the chance to have their photo taken with the big man himself, the kids also have santa come to the table to give them a present and everyone gets a breakfast with juice for the kids and hot drinks for the adults.

We have booked for Christmas Eve and I’m so excited!

Christmas Day with the Family

Everyone has a different idea of what their perfect Christmas would be but quite honestly, my perfect Christmas is nice and simple – spending it with my family right here in Bournemouth.

I am so looking forward to spending Christmas Day how it should be, with a glass of something bubbly in hand, full of food and singing along to the Christmas songs before playing all the games!

I know some people would disagree, but the panto is another Christmas tradition that has to be done. We are going on New Year’s Day this year and it will be the perfect way to kick off 2018!

Meeting up with Friends

Over the years I’ve lost contact with, fallen out with or just drifted away from friends. Those I have left are extra special and I have made sure to make time for them this Christmas.

I have a few Christmas meals booked up over the next few weeks, and I am making a resolution for 2018 to make time for those I care about.

I LOVE the pantomime but all my family think its really cheesy and boring so I never get to go! My mum did come and see snow white with me one year though and it was brilliant 🙂 We are taking my nephew ice skating and to see santa tomorrow so I’m so excited to see his little face light up!

I would love to go to the pantomime haven’t been in years. I don’t have young siblings in that age where they are excited to see Santa 😂

Soo festive! I loved baking some Christmas goodies this year and I’m really looking forward to Christmas Day. I’m determined to watch lots of Christmas films this year – I’ve watched one so far, so I really need to kick my butt into gear and watch loads more xo
