I love a good date night at home but I’m not the most adventurous of cooks (that’s Ed’s speciality). As Ed’s Valentine’s surprise was in the day, I decided it was only fair to cook for him in the evening on Tuesday.
Although my skills do reach past Fajitas, it’s something we both love and I figured it would mean less time in the kitchen, more time snuggled up on the sofa together with our favourite white wine – Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc. So, what was on the menu?
Main: Chicken and Chorizo Fajitas
Dessert: GU Melt in the Middle Puddings followed by melted chocolate with strawberries and marshmallows
There’s something that makes a simple dish more indulgent by adding Chorizo. This was fairly carb heavy, so not great for either of our food plans, but life is for living and what’s a date night without a little excess?
