I can’t believe another month has flown by! Benjamin turns 2 months in a couple of weeks and has his dreaded 8 week immunisations.
Luckily December is also packed full of parties and festive activities for us and the children. And of course there’s the best part of all – Christmas Day, followed by New Year’s Eve and the start of a brand new year (the year we get married, eek!)
3rd December – Winchester Christmas Market
I’ve heard amazing things about this Christmas market. Bournemouth has one but it’s not really anything to write home about and has gotten very tired and samey over the years. Winchester is only around 40 minutes from us and the Cathedral makes their Christmas market look much more spectacular and festive. I can’t wait!
6th December – Cameron’s Christmas Nativity School Play
I am so excited to see Cameron in his school play. He has several lines to read and has been preparing at home.
10th December – MKG Christmas Do
Ed’s gym annual Christmas celebrations. This year we will be going for a curry – yum!
11th December – William and Hollie’s Birthday Party
Two of Carly’s little friends have a joint birthday party. I’m looking forward to seeing my mummy friends.
14th December – My Postnatal Check & Benjamin’s immunisations
I’m so not looking forward to Benjamin’s immunisations. I’m very pro vaccinations but it still isn’t fun to see your tiny baby in pain, if only for a second.
16th December – Highlights & Cameron’s Last Day at School
I always try and get my hair done just before Christmas so it looks nice for all the photos over the festive period. Cameron and Carly also finish school for the Christmas break so it marks the Christmas fun beginning…
18th December – Plowmans for Breakfast with Santa then Jasper’s Birthday Party
I am so excited for our breakfast with Santa at Plowman’s Garden Centre. We went last year and it was amazing. The children get to meet Santa, have a cooked breakfast and then get a present given to them from under the large tree. That afternoon we also have another of Carly’s friend’s birthday parties. A day full of celebration.
22nd December – Pre Christmas Pampering
I’ve booked in for an eyebrow thread, shellac manicure and pedicure so I look in tip top shape for Christmas itself. I’m looking forward to some child free pampering me time.
23rd December – Plowmans Circus and Trip to Santa’s Grotto
My aunt couldn’t make it down from Kent in time for the breakfast with Santa so this year we are splitting our visit up into two and going to the brilliant circus just before Christmas Day, followed by a visit to Santa’s grotto for the little ones.
24th December – Christmas Eve
I LOVE Christmas Eve, almost as much as Christmas Day. The children have their Christmas Eve gifts (book, film and new pjs) and I usually try and fit in a festive drink at the Christmas bar before bedtime.
25th December – Christmas Day!
Sooooooo excited for Christmas Day! We have lots of little traditions, which I’ll cover in another post. I cannot wait!
26th December – Boxing Day with Ed’s Family
Ed and I will head over to his mum and Dad’s flat.
27th December – Festive Family Meal
My extended family are meeting up in Kent (where I used to live) for a festive meal. I’m looking forward to seeing some family I haven’t seen in awhile and I’m sure people will want cuddles with our little Christmas pudding.
31st December – New Years Eve – Pantomime and Party
I love New Year as it signals new beginnings. This year is extra special as 2017 is the year Ed and I will get married, move and Ed will finish his Maths Degree and start his next step towards his dream career. We are going to see Aladdin in the day before heading out to a party in the evening sans children. Excite!
