Family time is so important to me. Yesterday I took the kids to a local gardens – Compton Acres. The children love being outdoors so they were in their element. My mum and sister came along, and we bought a picnic lunch on the way.
The weather was a little temperamental and we were caught in a huge hail storm half way round the gardens. We didn’t let this ruin our day out, and luckily we were able to shelter during the worst of the hail.
The gardens were full of beautiful flowers, which provided some brilliant opportunities to get some use out of my DSLR. The children enjoyed climbing and running around the different gardens, although we had to make sure they were careful when it came to the Japenese garden with lots of stepping stones to manoeuvre.
When we finished, there was a wedding fayre going on in The Italian Villa, which is on site. My sister and I had a look round and even sampled a cheeky watermelon shot and dark chocolate dipped strawberry. The venue is stunning and would be amazing for our UK reception following our Santorini wedding.
