Gifted Sessions
If you had asked me a couple of months ago what Life Coaching was I would honestly tell you I didn’t really have any idea, and it wasn’t really something I had ever considered trying either. Fast forward to today, when I have finished my third life coaching session with Lauren Jane Coaching, and I will not only tell you that it is one of the most empowering things I have done, I will also encourage you to try it for yourself as it really is life-changing.
Lauren Jane offers virtual life coaching sessions, so you can be anywhere and still benefit from her services, which is fantastic. I am usually a little shy and reserved on the phone, especially on video calls but Lauren has a way to really put you at ease from the start. We had our calls through WhatsApp and it really felt like chatting to an old friend who I knew wouldn’t be judgemental, it was a proper safe space to open myself up and put me first for once.
Lauren offers a complimentary session so that you can find out what Life Coaching is all about, whether it’s right for you and if it’s a good fit for you both, which is brilliant. She bases her coaching around three steps – where you are, where you want to be and how you can make it happen.
Having suffered with my mental health quite a bit in the past, there was a little blurred lines between what Lauren offers and counselling or CBT sessions, which I have done in the past. I did worry occasionally that I was oversharing and getting into therapy territory, but the fundamental difference is that life coaching with Lauren is all about encouraging you to discover what it is you want from life, and giving you the push you need to get going with changes that will help make it happen.
You are given some homework in between your sessions, to make sure that you are working on what you uncover on each call, and I found this really helped me to keep focused on my goals in between sessions, and to remind me that I am ultimately the only one getting in the way of my own happiness. I was encountering a lot of negative self-talk beforehand, which had been preventing me from getting over something in my past, and the biggest change I have noticed so far is that I have been kinder to myself, which in turn has allowed me to finally process some important emotions and come out the other side stronger.
I have absolutely loved my sessions with Lauren, even though we have covered some really tough and somewhat triggering life events over the past few weeks (I am going through some really tough times in my personal life and these inevitably came up in conversation). There have been some pretty big revelations and deep conversations and I have become aware of a lot about myself that has changed the way I view life and my purpose. It has been truly impactful and I am so grateful to Lauren for working with me to discover things about me I either had no idea about before, or had forgotten over time.
I would recommend Lauren’s services to anybody thinking of embarking on life coaching. Her sessions are affordable and really worthwhile. The initial clarity call is complimentary and lasts 20 minutes and you also get your first 60 minute session free too, to make sure that it is a good fit and the right choice for you before further sessions. You can then choose to either pay session by session or book three or six sessions as a package for a reduced price. I had three sessions plus the clarity call and I think it was a good amount of time to uncover lots of goals and changes I wanted to make in my life. I do think, if you have lots to sort through in your mind, that six sessions would possibly be best.
I would like to thank Lauren again for helping me find clarity. Together we have looked at ways I can change up my life to achieve what I want in the future, without delaying or putting up roadblocks for myself, as I have done in the past.
My sessions were offered on a complimentary basis for the puporse of review, however all words are my own.
