Most people would like to have better hair. Perhaps your hair is the wrong colour, too brittle and breaks too easily, or too curly or straight. It does not matter who you are, you can always find fault. The fact of the matter is that there are many tried and tested methods to put the bounce back into your hair, no matter what your hair type. With a few tweaks to your hair care routine, you can have the healthy head of hair you always wanted.
Vitamins
Beauty comes from within, and that is also true of your hair. The reason why your hair may be brittle and break easily could be that your diet is a little lacking in essential nutrients needed to ensure your hair remains strong. Unfortunately, hair that is in poor condition could be an indicator of a possible underlying health condition. There are many vitamins vital for your hair, so maybe eating more food that contains more vitamin A and E, for example, may help. Alternatively, you could buy multivitamins which are designed to promote good hair and nail growth. If your problems persist, maybe having a word with a doctor could help.
Don’t Over Wash
Washing your hair every day may seem like a good idea, but actually, it’s not. In fact, water has the effect of making your hair swell up on the inside, forcing hair cuticles up. This is why hair can frizz and break easily. You should look to wash a maximum of once every other day or less. If you feel like your hair look dirty, then use some dry shampoo instead.
Use Pre-Shampoo
Using pre-shampoo on hair washing days is a must, especially for weak hair. It works almost as if it were a sealant and helps prevent any damage from occurring.
Use the Shampoo that Suits Your Hair Type
If you don’t already know, you need to do a little investigation and find out what hair type you have. Only by knowing what you have can you cater for it. Is it thick or thin, does it have high Porosity or not, etc? If you have oily hair, you should not use a moisturising shampoo, for example. If you are really not sure, why not ask at the hair salon the next time you are down. You should also try and use shampoos that use little to no harsh chemicals as these can damage hair over time.
Colouring
If you do not need to colour your hair, as you are not grey yet, ask yourself is it the best idea. Colouring your hair definitely has an effect on its health, so you should try and avoid colouring if you can or indeed want to. However, that doesn’t mean there are not many good hair colouring products out there. Brands like Joico are worth looking at when it comes to colouring and other hair care solutions. Just take a good look at the ingredients and try and avoid carcinogens and harsh chemicals. There are plenty of great options these days, so just do a little investigation to get it right,
