What’s Next for Even Angels Fall?

As the year comes to a close, I have been thinking about how I want to adapt and update Even Angels Fall as we go into 2020, not only a new year but a new decade. Since starting back in an office job alongside writing the blog, I have struggled a little to juggle everything. I have been writing 4 blog posts a week most weeks for the past year, and it is not really achievable now I am also working part time, so the first change will be the amount of posts I will be regularly publishing…

Three Posts a Week

As I say, four posts a week is too many for me at this point in time. As well as writing the blog, I am working 20 hours a week, commuting, taking care of the three children and running a blogging network. Something has got to give and letting go of one post a week seems like a good place to start.

Focus on Topics I Love

With one less post a week, I am hoping that I can really focus on the topics that interest me most when I write. I write about quite a variety of topics at the moment, including beauty, style, food, fitness, travel, motherhood and the home. Although I don’t necessary want to stop writing about any of these subjects, what I do want to do is focus primarily on those that I am most passionate about. This may change throughout the year, as different things happen in my life, but to start with I know that Style, Fitness and Travel are going to be what I want to write about most often.

Be More Open

I try to be open and honest when writing my blog, but there are some aspects of my life I try not to go into too much detail about, and I am not going to change this, but instead work on writing about topics that I am comfortable with sharing, in more detail. So expect to see some more hard hitting, intimate subject matters from time to time, as I aim to get down some of my thoughts and experiences of points in life which aren’t Instagrammable…

Work on Instagram & Pinterest

Talking of Instagram, I really want to work on this platform in 2020. I know your follower count shouldn’t be the be all and end all of social media, but I actually really love Instagram as a platform, and I love to share my photos on there. So, from January, I will be dedicating a little more of my time to engaging more with others, and sharing stories more frequently, giving a better insight into my day to day life. I also want to work on Pinterest again, as it is another photo sharing platform, and one that has the potential to boost exposure of this blog with a bit of time and dedication.

Are you a blogger? Do you have any blogging goals for 2020?
