Last Friday, I was invited along to the launch of a new day spa in the Hoburne Bashley holiday park through the Bournemouth Blogger network.
I don’t really know the area well, and didn’t really know what to expect but when I arrived at the venue, I was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous modern decor and the tranquil haven of the spa itself, situated on the first floor of the main reception building.
On arrival I was greeted by members of staff, who offered me bottled water and sat me down with a client information form to fill in prior to my complimentary treatment.
I had been given the choice between a facial or a neck, back and shoulder massage, and I opted for the massage as I always worry with a facial that it will affect my sensitive skin. I was led into a treatment room by my therapist, who explained the treatment in detail, including going over what I wanted from my massage (to relax mainly after a stressful week), before leaving me to get undressed and under the towels on the bed.
After checking I was comfortable, she got to work and my word, the massage was the best I have had in ages and the pressure was just right! My therapist used an essential oil on my skin, which had an almost menthol smell to it, but it left me feeling amazing, and so chilled out.
After my massage, I was led to the relaxation lounge, where I was offered (and accepted, obviously) a glass of Prosecco and given a lovely Elemis goody bag, including sample sized products, to take home.
The lounge is really spacious, and would be perfect for a hen party or bridal shower. As well as a row of reclining chairs, there are two hanging swing seats, and the kind of low level mood lighting you’d expect from a relaxation lounge.
I laid back and sipped on my drink before being joined by Brogan, who had just had her massage as well, and we had a lovely catch up before leaving the spa.
It was a lovely morning, and I will definitely head back for another massage in the future! The spa officially opened on Tuesday this week and offers a range of massages as well as manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing and tanning.

I was invited along to the launch event of the Beauty H day spa at Hoburne Bashley with the Bournemouth Bloggers, and provided with a complimentary treatment, however I was under no obligation to write this post. All opinions and photos are my own.
