Beauty – My Beauty Advent Calendar

I know beauty advent calendars have been around awhile now, but this year I am excited as it is the first year I’m having one of my own!

With a newborn, two other children, a wedding to plan and a house move around the corner, we couldn’t afford some of the (in my opinion) ridiculously priced calendars out there. Instead, I shopped around with a £30 budget and came across the Sanctuary offering.

At £25 (at time of purchase, in Boots) it’s definitely one of the ‘budget’ calendars on the market, but it certainly doesn’t look like a budget product. One of the things I liked was that there was a product for every day in December, not just the 12 days of advent, as some calendars had. The other thing I liked was that the products are of high quality, a trusted and loved brand and look like things I will genuinely use and enjoy using. I did consider some of the makeup calendars but looking at them, I wasn’t sure of how the quality would be, and then when you also consider only some shades working for my skin tone etc it didn’t seem worth it.

Ed bought me my calendar and it is sitting patiently on the shelf waiting for 1st December along with Ed and Cameron’s Lego calendars and Carly’s Minion one. I didn’t think it was possible but I’m even more excited for Christmas now!
Have you got a beauty advent calendar this year? Which one did you go for?
