Every year I hunt for the best advent calendars and this year, one rules supreme. I was kindly sent the LUSH Advent Calendar and can honestly say it’s the best beauty advent calendar I have reviewed. The box itself is absolutely massive, and it is absolutely jam packed full of your favourite and festive LUSH products (plus some exclusives), which will take you right through December and into dreary January.
There’s a real mix of products included, from the Candy Cane bubble bar to the Snowdrift bath bomb, with something for the whole family, making it an excellent choice if you are looking for an advent calendar that can be shared. I know this one will be loved by all of us – the only problem will be wrestling over the Yule Log soap – it smells incredible!
Design wise, I love that there is a drawer underneath the main box, making the calendar absolutely huge when you pull it out! I was so surprised by how big it is, it is definitely one to put pride of place by the Christmas tree for all to admire. I also really like the colour scheme, different from the usual midnight blue, red and deep greens you get at this time of year. The bright colours are going to help give that boost of dopamine each morning – the perfect antidote for those grey miserable December mornings.
I love that the box’s art work has been created by Shruti Gadhvi, an artist who works with Artbox, which is a registered charity running a programme of art workshops to allow those with learning disabilities and neurodivergence to explore their creativity and develop their skills as artists! It’s a brilliant collaboration, and close to my heart as somebody who has recently been diagnosed as an adult with ADHD.
At around £200, this is definitely not a budget advent calendar, but when it comes to value for money, you are truly getting a lot of bang for your buck, this calendar is seriously full of pampering treats (25 of them!) and not a miniature or sample size in sight! The calendar includes bath bombs, shower gels, soaps, even candles and socks! It works out economically if you compare to buying the products on their own or as part of several gift sets. Plus, if you’re sharing, the price can be spread – girl maths!
I would definitely recommend this advent calendar, as it has so many fun products included, sure to brighten up the lead up to Christmas and make those hectic shopping trips and post Christmas drinks mornings a little easier to bear!
