I love Spring as a season, I mean, let’s face it, most years we have more sunshine in Spring than we do in Summer and I am a May baby so it’s my birthday season. However, it is undeniable that it can be a little temperamental when it comes to temperature and weather, which can make it difficult to know what to wear. As we inch ourway towards the summer, I have been slowly re-introducing my spring/summer wardrobe and enjoying the lighter fabrics and softer shades.
I was really pleased to be sent a few items of my choice from Cotton Traders recently, and I loved creating a spring style staples that will work for plenty of occasions coming up over the next couple of months. I have lots of dresses and a few skirts, so I wanted to go with a pair of trousers that I could dress up or down, and even wear for work without them looking too casual or too overly smart, as I work in the New Forest, and we don’t do office wear. These lightweight printed wide-leg pull on trousers are absolutely perfect, so easy to wear, and they look brilliant styled with a white silk cami and a blazer for work or drinks, or styled down with a simple white tee.
I love the pattern detail on this Lace sleeve t-shirt, as it does give it a little something, whilst remaining nice and laidback. The fit is relaxed, whilst still showing my figure, it’s a pretty pale cream shade, and it feels like great quality, built to last throughout plenty of wears. I think the two look brilliant together, and make a very easy to wear spring/summer outfit.

To finish the look, I wanted some pretty sandals, with a bit of lift to them to give me some height, without me tottering around on proper heels. These wedge sandals are just what I was looking for. I love that the colour makes my burgeoning tan pop, and they are brilliant with this outfit, whilst also working with my collection of summer dresses, or even paired with skinny jeans and a cami top and oversize cardigan on chillier days. So versatile – the perfect spring/summer shoe!

I love Cotton Traders for finding spring wardrobe staples – there is so much choice, you are bound to find what you are looking for, all in a one stop shop!
