With stunning scenery, awe-inspiring attractions and dedicated entertainment at your fingertips, there’s plenty to delight adults and kids alike. Discover the best ways to experience this captivating continent in June, July and August, from chilled-out beach stays to thrilling activity holidays.
1. Beach relaxation
Looking for a trip where lazy days are on the cards? Try one of the amazing beach destinations in Europe for your summer holiday. These are incredibly diverse, ranging from Mediterranean islands with pristine white sands to wild, windswept dunes where whales lurk offshore.
For reliable sunshine, look at Tenerife holidays in family-friendly resorts along the south coast. The island’s proximity to North Africa means summers are dry and warm, and children will love the dramatic black-sand bays. The Balearics, a group of islands just offshore from Spain, are a closer alternative to the Canary Islands also boasting great weather and exciting water sports.
2. Entertainment excitement
Willing to put up with something entirely orientated around the kids? Check out one of Europe’s theme parks which range from vast venues with a big reputation like Disneyland Paris to lesser-known options like Efteling in The Netherlands which was branded best in Europe last year.
