What are you most looking forward to after lockdown is over? I cannot wait to be able to see my family again, to give them all a big hug and just sit and enjoy their company. This past year has been so unbelievably challenging, I am definitely planning a getaway here in the UK for after restrictions have been lifted. These are the breaks that I am currently looking into booking, once I am able to, hopefully they will give you some inspiration if you are also looking to plan a trip in the near future.

A Girly Spa Weekend

One of the things I have really missed over the pandemic has been visiting a spa. It is up there with the need to get a manicure and my highlights done and I cannot wait until I can properly escape for some spa time, preferably whilst sipping on a glass of bubbles at the same time and having a girly catch up with a friend or two – perfection! I’d highly recommend booking spa weekends Yorkshire, the Titanic Spa looks gorgeous and just the place to totally unwind from the stress of the past year.

A Child-Free Getaway

I absolutely adore my children, believe me, but after home schooling and being in their company every day for so long, I just really want a bit of a break. We spent our mini-moon at an adults only hotel in Cornwall, and I am definitely looking back into it as it was brilliant for a total break from it all.

A Big Family Reunion

I have a very close knit family, and we have hated not being able to see each other in person for so long. We started booking big family breaks over the summer a few years ago and I am hopeful that we will be able to do one either this year or next, depending on how things go. I cannot wait to have a proper catch up with my sister and sister-in-law, have the kids play with their cousin in a swimming pool and make some memories all together as a family again.

A Dog Friendly Staycation

We only got our puppy Bella at the end of January, so we haven’t been able to take her away with us yet. I am excited to see where we are able to stay with her, and what lovely dog friendly breaks we can have once lockdown ends. It will be lovely for us to all go away as a family, and I know the children will be so excited to travel with Bella.

Whether you are looking for a break away just the two of you, or if you will be travelling as a family, I think it is so nice to be able to look ahead and plan for trips once the restrictions have lifted. This past year has been so challenging mentally and emotionally, and it will be lovely to have something to look forward to again, as things begin to look more positive.

This is a collaborative post, however all words are my own.
