If you’ve got little thrill-seekers in tow, a visit to one of Benidorm’s theme parks is a must. Be sure to check ahead, however, as many of these close for the winter season.
Terra Mítica is one of the most popular parks, with rides and shows inspired by ancient civilisations like Rome, Greece, and Egypt. It’s a great mix of history and adventure.
For something a little more refreshing, Aqualandia is perfect for cooling off in the Spanish sun. It has massive water slidesand wave pools for older kids and areas for younger children, so everyone can keep busy.
If your little ones love animals, Mundomar is a great choice. This wildlife park offers up-close encounters with dolphinsand sea lions. If you book in advance, you can sometimes find discounted tickets online.

Away from the hotels and busy beachfront, Benidorm’s Old Town feels like a completely different world. Here, you can wander through charming streets and pick up some bargain souvenirs at the local markets.
Stop at Tapas Alley, a hidden gem full of cosy bars serving delicious, inexpensive Spanish bites. Ordering a selection of tapas is a great way to introduce the kids to local flavours without committing to a full meal – plus, many places offer deals that won’t stretch your budget.
Embark on outdoor adventures
Looking for something a bit more active? Serra Gelada Natural Park is just a short trip from Benidorm. It’s completely free to visit and offers some amazing coastal hiking trails with breathtaking sea views.
Another brilliant budget-friendly activity is taking a boat trip to Peacock Island (also known as Benidorm Island). This tiny island is a haven for snorkelling and wildlife spotting. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some dolphins on the journey over!
