Everyone faces beauty struggles at some point in their lives. And when they come along, they can knock you for six. Problems with your appearance are the last thing you want.

The purpose of this post is to talk about some of the more unspoken beauty struggles you might be facing and how to move past them. Here’s everything you need to know:

Hair Loss

Dealing with hair loss is never fun. The last thing you want is clumps falling out in the shower in the morning, changing how you look.

Most hair loss is genetic, but some can also relate to stress, hormone changes, or sleep deprivation. Sometimes medications can cause it, too (the temporary version).

The good news is that moving past hair loss is something that’s within your power. You could talk to a doctor about it and use some of the many treatments available. Or, in extreme cases where you are really worried, you could get implants. These don’t leave any scarring and should look just as good as your natural hair.

Negative Self-Talk

Negative self-talk is another beauty struggle many of us have to grapple with over the years. It’s where our mind is unkind to us about the way we look.

It’s not harmless either. Feeling negative about the way you look can cause your well-being to tank and leave you feeling miserable.

So what can you do about it?

The best (and cheapest) approach is to catch yourself in the act and challenge yourself. Asking whether the negativity is justified can help assuage some of your concerns.

But even if it is true, you can also ask whether it matters for your life. Being more present can help take your mind off your negative thinking and worries about your appearance.

Acne And Blemishes

Acne and blemishes are other health struggles most of us would prefer to be without. It can knock your body’s confidence massively and leave you feeling helpless.

What’s more, it seems like such an intractable problem. No amount of medication seems to help.

The problem with acne and blemishes is that they usually indicate a deeper problem in the body. Surface treatments usually don’t work.

The trick is to change your diet. The moment you stop eating hormone-disrupting foods, like milk, the problem usually goes away. Replacing these items with healthy greens and beans can work wonders on the skin in a matter of weeks, leaving you feeling so much better.

Comparing Yourself To Others

Another common beauty struggle is comparing yourself to others. You often feel like you don’t live up to the standards of other people.

One way to move past it is to use cosmetic surgery and take control. Small changes can have a remarkable effect on your appearance and how you view yourself.

You can also practise a sense of gratitude for what you already have. Again, it’s not exactly solving your perceived problem, but it can give you a new perspective on it, allowing you to feel better about everything.
