Beauty – Some Girly Essentials

So if you follow me on social media you may already know that as of Tuesday afternoon, I’ve finally gone on maternity leave (I left it fairly late at 39 weeks as I wanted the most time I could have with the baby off work and also because we couldn’t really afford for me to take it any earlier). To celebrate, Carly and I went on a little shopping trip for some girly essentials I had run out of.

Although Carly is a bit of a tomboy in most respects, she loves having her nails painted ‘just like mummy’ so we picked up a lovely red shade of Barry M nail varnish to try. As it was buy one get one half price on all Barry M makeup we also picked up a pink lipstick for me for everyday as my current no7 shade is a little too dark for my skin tone and can make me seem a bit washed out. I had done some research online prior to the shopping trip and found the reviews were pretty good for this lipstick so fingers crossed.

I also picked up a new Primer and eye liner, both different from my usual brands, so I will see how these go. The Rimmel primer was in a two for £10 deal so I also stocked up on my trusty lipgloss from the brand at the same time.

The collection 2000 eyeliner was too good to pass up at only £1.99 and as I used my points to buy it, it was technically free! I also got another Garnier tissue mask to relax and pamper with now I’m off work.
