Whatever reason you are looking to book a facial aesthetics treatment, I have the lowdown on three brilliant treatments I have recently tried out at The Skin Clinic Company in Westbourne. Read on to find out more about each treatment, to see whether it’s right for you…
Profhilo
I’ve shared my experience of having the Profhilo treatment at The Skin Clinic Company previously and am definitely a fan, having seen how it has transformed the look of my face with just two treatments. Profhilo uses Hyaluronic Acid to remodel the skin, stimulating the production of natural collagen and elastin to renew the skin. The treatment involves numbing cream being applied to the face before a needle injects into the areas you are looking to target. This can be done on several areas of the face and body but I had just my face targeted. Dr Tara also uses a vibrating tool to detract away from any pain of the needle going in, which really helped me.
Microneedling
If you’re looking for quick results, with virtually no downtime and minimal pain, I would suggest Microneedling, which I recently experienced at the very practised hands of Dr Tara at The Skin Clinic Company in Westbourne. As with Profhilo, a numbing cream is applied beforehand, this meant that I could barely feel the treatment, which took only minutes with results lasting up to 12 months afterwards. Using a total of 36 micro needles, Dr Tara can penetrate up to 3mm. The treatment helps produce new collagen and elastin, minimising fine lines and wrinkles, with minimal downtime (the skin is just a little pink afterwards and you are able to go about your day as normal).
Dermaplaning
Want silky soft, smooth skin which provides the perfect base for your skincare and makeup? Dermaplaning is a quick, simple and completely pain free treatment which will remove that annoying ‘peach fuzz’ from your face and leave you with a clear base. I loved how satisfying it was to see the fine fair hairs removed from my face, and it was all done so quickly by Michele, the ultimate lunch break act of self care!
