I may have mentioned, I absolutely love this time of year, when the Christmas songs are socially acceptable, and everywhere takes on a cosy festive vibe with fairy lights everywhere you look. I was very pleased to work with Pines and Needles again this Christmas, as I love the experience of picking out our real tree from their local pop up shop, it makes the whole process extra magical for the kids.
We picked up the tree last week and spent the evening putting it up and decorating it with lights and baubles. I love how a Christmas tree just instantly transforms a room, making it feel so much cosier – ready for festive film nights and all the Christmas snacks – I may have already cracked out the cheese, crackers and chutney this week – #NoRegrets.

I love our 7 foot tree from Pines and Needles – it looks gorgeous from inside and outside the house, and I am so looking forward to getting cosy as we countdown to Christmas. Keeping the real tree fresh is simple, the water in the stand, also from Pines and Needles, just needs topping up every few days. They are really simple to care for, and smell amazing! I won’t go back to an artificial tree since my first real tree a few years ago.

I went for a navy blue and gold theme for the decorations this year, and I am really pleased with how it turned out. The blue baubles are from Next this year, but the rest are from previous years. I’m not a fan of tinsel, but I do love a good set of lights, and want to put some on the outside of the house too this year.
My room is my safe haven, especially when I am struggling with anxiety, so I also have fairy lights in the bedroom, around my dressing table mirror. I love climbing into bed with a good book, with the fairy lights and some lit scented candles giving such a cosy aesthetic.
