Summer Styling

Sponsored Post

How is it July already? This year may feel like it is flying by, but Summer is upon us and with it comes the chance to refresh your wardrobe and stock up on this season’s essentials. These are the 5 summer styles I have been lusting over recently, all available from J5 Fashion, wholesale fashion suppliers, based here in the UK.

The Garden Party Maxi Dress

Although pubs and restaurants are now open, I still feel more comfortable sticking to the back garden. We have a few small garden parties planned over the summer, and a brightly coloured maxi dress is the ultimate chilled out back garden outfit.

The Dress-Up/Dress-Down Jumpsuit

Wedding receptions may not be happening just yet, but a stylish jumpsuit, which can be dressed up or down is a wardrobe staple this summer. Dress it up with heels, a statement necklace and a good blazer, or keep it casual with a pair of sandals and an oversized cardigan for when the sun goes down.

The Denim Dungaree Skirt

Who said dungarees were just for kids? I love the versatility of a good denim dungaree skirt, which can be styled for each season. For summer, keep things cool with a simple vest top and sandals, then come autumn you can change it up to a long sleeved tee with tights and you’ll be ready to sip your pumpkin spiced latte. This is a great go-to for socially distanced picnics in the park – just add a pair of sunnies and you are good to go.

The Casual Co-Ord

I must admit, up until recently I felt like I was too old for loungewear, especially anything involving cycling shorts. However, with a new found self-confidence came the realisation that you can wear whatever you want to wear, and I love the bright and colourful co-ords available at the moment – perfect for chilling out at home or in the shade, having a catch up with friends.

The (Not so) LBD

I know I already included a maxi dress in this post, but I love them so I wanted to include another! I am a big fan of the classic little black dress, but sometimes it is just too hot. Enter the humble black maxi dress of dreams, casual enough for drinks in a pub garden, dressed up enough to meet the parents for the first time, this is a total summer staple.

This is a sponsored post, however all words are my own.
