Post Lockdown Events to Look Forward To in 2021

It can be hard, at the moment, to envision a world after lockdown. I feel like I have been at home so long that I am starting to forget what it is like to be out enjoying life with people outside of my immediate family. However, even though life is unlikely to go completely back to ‘normal, things will begin to open back up again in the coming weeks and months and, by next year, we will hopefully be able to start enjoying the events that we weren’t able to attend this year. These are some post lockdown events to look forward to in 2021.

Wimbledon is the world’s oldest tennis tournament and one of the only major tournaments still played on original grass surface. Many say that winning at Wimbledon makes you a real tennis legend. I worked at Wimbledon when I was in my early twenties but I have never been as a spectator. Although it won’t be going ahead this month, you can always start looking forward to next year’s event. If you are looking for Wimbledon hospitality 2021, Keith Prowse have VIP tickets for both Centre Court and No.1 Court with their hospitality experience including a la carte menus, chauffeur service and concierge.

Isle of Wight Festival

I am not a big festival fan, generally speaking, but the Isle of Wight Festival is one of those events which stand out in the calendar. My dad has been going for several years and has asked me to go,  but something has always come up. I think 2021 might be the perfect chance to see what I have been missing.

Henley Regatta

Henley Royal Regatta is the best known regatta in the world, with people travelling from far and wide to attend both as competitors and spectators. Held on the River Thames by the town of Henley-on-Thames, the event provides the perfect opportunity to dress up, eat strawberries and drink Pimms whilst watching the event – sounds perfect to me!

Edinburgh Fringe Festival

We visited Edinburgh for the first time this February, shortly before lockdown started, and I am keen to go back as soon as it is safe to do so. I have heard amazing things about Edinburgh Fringe, which is the biggest celebration of arts and culture in the world, and would love to coincide my next trip with an event like this. The festival caters for all tastes with theatre, comedy, dance, cabaret, circus, opera, exhibitions and children’s shows to enjoy across the city.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Flower Show went digital for 2020, but should be back in 2021. If you are a keen gardener or just love flowers, it is worth a visit. Britain’s largest flower show, it has been running for over 100 years and is the place to go for inspiration for your own garden (or just to enjoy exploring the beautiful designs on display).

Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park

It is still unclear whether events at Christmas will be going ahead this year but, as somebody who loves celebrating all things festive, I will be heading to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park in 2021 to soak in the atmosphere and Christmas cheer. I have been a couple of times before and recommend a visit, if you haven’t been before. There is an ice rink, Christmas market and lots of rides to enjoy. If you like a more traditional market, I also recommend the Bath Christmas Market, which is beautiful and extremely festive!

What events will you be looking forward to after lockdown is over?

This is a sponsored post, however all words are my own.
