Planning your Christmas shopping and not sure where to go? I’ve put together a list of some of the best UK Christmas shopping destinations including high street and designer shops, department stores and winter wonderland markets – you can thank me later!
Located right in the city centre, with views of the historic docks and beautiful waterfront, and offering the perfect mix of high-street and designer stores, Liverpool ONE is the place to go for shopping this Christmas. There is plenty going on to keep you occupied during your visit, including a full schedule of festive events. Kids can write a letter to Santa at the Disney Store or join the Polar Adventure, travelling all the way to the North Pole, or you can join in a Treetorial or Crafternoon with John Lewis & Partners. Download the MyONE app in advance to find out more about events and special offers.
Winchester Christmas Market
If you are looking for the full Christmas market experience, Winchester is one of the best I have visited in the UK. Located around the Cathedral, this German inspired Christmas market is the perfect place to pick up some unique gifts and enjoy some delicious food and drink whilst you browse the festive chalets. Top Tip: go midweek to avoid the crowds as it gets incredibly busy due to being so popular!
If you fancy a trip to the capital, London’s Oxford Street lights up for a truly magical shopping trip at this time of the year. With plenty of shops to choose from, including high street favourites and the Selfridges, Debenhams and House of Fraser department stores, you will be spoilt for choice. Oxford Street is also only a fifteen minute walk from Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland where you can enjoy the festive amusements.
Edinburgh is somewhere that has been on my bucket list for a long time. Over the festive season, this beautiful city is transformed with glittering lights and plenty of activities and events. The Royal Mile is illuminated with over 60,000 lights and a winter wonderland with a fairground, ice rink and high star flyer take centre stage. There are both Christmas markets and stores to choose from and the Nutcracker Christmas Shop is a must visit!
Bicester Village is where to go if you are looking for budget designer buys. With dozens of designer outlets to choose from, the village is transformed into an illuminated Cotswold Christmas garden at this time of year, with live music, lantern-lit walkways and over 150 boutiques offering savings of up to 60% off the RRP.
This is a collaborative post, however all words are my own.
