When I received the invite from Sunny Bird PR for an exclusive VIP evening cruise with Dorset Cruises for Exmoor Distillery, I was just a little bit excited. I didn’t like gin until fairly recently, but now I am a total convert, so I was looking forward to sampling the award winning Northmoor gin from Exmoor Distillery, and learning more about the brand whilst onboard the lovely Dorset Queen 1930s vintage boat, cruising around Poole Harbour and the Jurassic Coast.
I took along my aunt, and we were both thankful that it was a nice, sunny day and not too cold for late September as we boarded the boat. We were shown down to the seating area, where we were sat in a booth with some other local bloggers including Rachael from The 15 Mile Foodie and Rhiannon, who also runs a social media consultancy company. It was really nice to be able to sit and chat whilst enjoying gin inspired canapés and sharing a bottle of Northmoor gin, with tonic.
We had also been given VIP tokens, that could be used at the bar for other gins, or a selection of gin cocktails. I was obsessed with the French 75 cocktail, which included strawberry and raspberry puree and Prosecco – yes please. There was also a special cocktail for the evening, made with the Northmoor gin, which tasted seriously good.
There was such a beautiful sunset, we headed up to the top deck to enjoy it and have a little photo session. Thank you so much to Sunny Bird PR for inviting me along, it was a lovely evening and has definitely inspired me to book another trip with Dorset Cruises next year when the weather improves again.
I was invited along to this press event, however there was no obligation to post. All words and images are my own.
