This week’s Behind the Bride is with Kim from Life of an Auntie.
Hi Kim, first of all, congratulations on your marriage! When was the big day?
Our big was original set for the 22nd July 2017, but in December 2016 I found out I was pregnant and due to give birth the beginning of July, so we had to postpone it and rearrange it to the 28th October 2017.
Tell me a bit about yourself and your partner. When and where did you first meet?
I’m Kim, 30 years old and my now husband is Tom and is 25, we’ve been together 9 years. We met through a friend, went out on a few dates. Tom works as a Senior Negotiator in Estate Agency & I’m a Purchase ledger Coordinator.
How did they propose? Or was it you who popped the question?
Tom proposed when we went away to Suffolk for the weekend to celebrate our 4 year anniversary which fall on Valentines Day, we were walking along the beach on the evening of the 16th before going to dinner, watching the sun set and he got down on one knee and asked me there. It was beautiful.
Tell me a bit about your big day. Where did you tie the knot? Did you have a theme or a colour scheme?
Our big day was going to be at Henley Golf & Country Club in Henley. I didn’t want anything fancy just something to remember.
Our colour scheme was turquoise. I had 3 colour schemes I had picked to choose from Turquoise, coral & purple
What was your favourite memory from your day?
All our family & friends celebrating with us & it was made extra special with our little boy been part of it.
Was there anything that didn’t go to plan? Or that you would perhaps have done differently?
No not at all everything we had planned for was included. It was just perfect in every single way and couldn’t of asked for it to have gone any more smoothly.
Do you have any advice for future brides to be?
Weddings don’t have to be expensive, as long as it is what you want others opinions don’t matterThank you for taking part in the series Kim.
