Last Thursday my not so little girl turned five! She’s always felt like my baby, even when I went on to have Benjamin last year, so it has been strange adjusting to her starting school recently.

In the past couple of months she’s really grown up and I was so proud when her teacher told me she was a pleasure to have in the class, and that Carly is really clever and eager to learn.

One of the things I’m most passionate about when it comes to being a parent is the importance of reading. I have always loved to read and write, and I want to pass this onto my children.

Wonderbly’s personalised range of books are brilliant at getting the children into reading as they love being in the book and hearing their name read out.

I’ve previously written about The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home and The Birthday Thief, and for Carly’s Birthday last week, she opened up Kingdom of You!

The book follows the main character, in this instance Carly, as she wishes she was the queen and nobody could tell her what to do.

You can add your child’s individual touch to the book as you go through the ordering process, choosing between a range of items to come up with a story they will really love.

As Carly is a huge fan of both animals and fruit lately, her story had these included as we went through the book together but if your child prefers dinosaurs, princesses, ice cream or pizza then they are all possible too!

As with the other books in the range, Kingdom of You is beautifully illustrated throughout and has a moral message at the end, which I think is really important for young children.

Carly really enjoyed listening to the story, and I look forward to revisiting it with her as she gains more confidence in her own reading.

Kingdom of You was very well received as a birthday gift, but it would also make a brilliant Christmas present!

Priced at £16.99, with the option to add gift wrapping for a small additional charge, it can be ordered from the Wonderbly website.

This book was provided to us for the purpose of this review, however all opinions and images are my own.
