I’ve mentioned before that I find it hard to treat myself generally, however, for my birthday I was very fortunate to get a fair amount of birthday money and I decided that, as well as getting some new summer clothes, I would stock up on some beauty favourites and use the opportunity to try out some new products.
So, what did I buy?
Pearl Drops Pure White Whitening Treatment x 2
I got one each for me and Ed to try. With the wedding a few months away I want to get my teeth looking a little brighter in preparation. I don’t really know much about teeth whitening kits but I know the brand and it was half price which means I got both for under £25
Sanctuary Spa Purifying Charcol Bubble Sheet Mask
This was free when you spent £10 or more on sanctuary products. I’m intrigued by it and will write a review when I’ve had a chance to try it out. It’s usually priced at £5 so a little more than I would generally spend on a sheet Mask
Sanctuary Spa Thermol Detox Mask
I tried this when I had my sanctuary advent calendar and loved it. In the past I’ve avoided heat masks as I’ve worried they will make me feel claustrophobic but that isn’t the case with this mask and it left my skin feeling so fresh and clean
Botanics Purifying Face Scrub, Botanics Radiance Concentrate Serum, Botanics Eye Roll On & Botanics Radiance Balm
My face is looking so tired and dull lately, I need to care for a bit more. These products are all meant to help make you look more radiant, so I thought I’d give it a go. The products are only £2.50 each and were on a buy one get one free offer, so I got all four for just £5!
Soap & Glory Wonderbronze
With summer coming up, and my holiday to Spain just a few weeks away I wanted to get a nice subtle bronzer. I love soap and glory so this should be a good buy.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick
I got a lovely nude shade of lipstick for everyday. Lately I’ve been wearing a darker lip but I think for spring/summer I want to tone it down a little.
Soap & Glory Gift Set
This was free when spending over £14 on soap and glory products. It contains 3 full size products – an eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. The mascara is my usual one anyway so it was worth it just for that. I don’t overly need the eyeliner as it’s not overly my thing, but I’m sure I can put it to use, and I love the tingly sensation of the lipgloss, it really does help plump up your lips short term
Revlon Colourstay Foundation
This is apparently a dupe for the Estée Lauder doublewear so I’m giving it a try. I feel I need quite a heavy duty base these days with Benjamin keeping me up in the night still. I can’t afford a huge amount on Foundation so if this one is good that will be brilliant. I’ve yet to find my perfect foundation.
Ecotools Foundation Brush
I love this Foundation brush, I’ve used a few different ones but always come back to this one. It’s so soft and comes with a beautiful pouch to house it in
Maybelleine 24 Karat Nudes Palette
I had tried a tester for Estée Lauder eyeshadow and the pigment was intense. Unfortunately my budget doesn’t stretch to £20 for a single eyeshadow but the pigment is fairly good in this palette, and the bonus is you get several shades. I love the golds in this set, so pretty!
John Frieda Brilliantly Brighter Sheer Blonde Conditioner
This is a Conditioner I have wanted to try since seeing it in a magazine. I am a sucker for gimmicky products and, with highlighted hair, I want to try and find a product that really helps my hair stay fresh in between hairdresser visits. I haven’t tried this so can’t report back, but fingers crossed it is good.
