One particular issue that you never want to deal with as a homeowner is pests roaming around. The list of potential pests is endless, this could include cockroaches or mice and everything in between. If you leave windows or doors open frequently then they can simply let themselves in and then never leave. If they stuck around your home without causing extensive damage then everything would be fine. However, pests like rats and termites can do incredible amounts of damage in such a short space of time.

Mould
One of the last things you want to be dealing with as a home owner is mould. This can not only be detrimental to your home, but your health as well. You can use home cleaning remedies on small areas of mould, such as bleach or white vinegar solutions. Make sure you are using the right protection when doing so, this includes gloves and masks.

Old Windows
Finally, how old are your current windows? They may have been there since the house was built or you may have already replaced them once. Windows have a rough life expectancy of around 20 to 40 years, depending on when they were installed. Newer windows are designed to withstand far more than windows from the 70s for instance.
However, if you constantly notice a cool breeze flowing in from your windows then they might be telling you it is time to replace them.
