I am a huge fan of boots when it comes to autumn and winter. I practically live in them to be honest, pairing them with a leather mini skirt and a cute jumper for drinks with friends, or a shirt and pencil skirt for the office. I love how many styles of boots there are available on the Cotton Traders website – everything from a hiking boot to a snug winter ankle boot, and through to knee high riding boots, they have a vast selection to choose from and I had a lot of fun recently picking my favourite couple of pairs.
This weekend I had the chance to try them out for the first time as we were spending our Sunday in the New Forest National Park, trying out some activities with New Forest Activities including Winter Archery and BattleZone, before heading for a roast at The Drift Inn.
For the first part of our day, which involved being outside in the elements, with plenty of muddy ground to trample on, I wore my new leather waterproof boots, which are brilliant as they are waterproof, but also look stylish compared to some I have had in the past. I found them super comfortable to wear throughout the activities, and my feet stayed warm and dry, even when I was walking through puddles!
After we had finished running around in the cold, I wanted to feel a little more dressed up for our Sunday roast, so I had a quick change, putting my walking boots in the car and pulling on my new riding boots, which looked lovely paired with leather leggings and a blazer. I was really happy with how they looked and felt to wear, and the small heel meant I could walk around but still felt womanly – the perfect knee high boot and a pair I know will get a lot of wear over the rest of the winter.
