A few weeks ago I was invited along with the Bournemouth Bloggers to try out the new lunchtime menu at India Cottage in Ringwood high street. Not a lot of Indian restaurants open for lunch, at least not locally, so I was excited to hear about the express menu available at India Cottage, providing the same delicious flavours that they are known for, in a condensed lunchtime menu, available every day, perfect for those working in the area and looking for an alternative to a sandwich or a salad on their lunch break.
I was there with several other girls from the Bournemouth Bloggers including Ewelina, Alexis and Cheryl, who I have become friends with over the past few months, so it was lovely to catch up with them and have a proper chat during our lunch. We were also joined by Sarah, owner of India Cottage, who was able to fill us in with the history of the business, her own experience working in the restaurant industry, and the thought behind the new lunchtime concept, which is her very own baby. It was fantastic to hear so much passion from a restaurant owner, and the food was truly amazing when it came out.

We shared a selection of the dishes available on the lunchtime menu (and also had a starter of poppadoms with various dips, which is not on that menu but we highly recommend, it was so tasty). I was really impressed with the flavours of each of the dishes, everything tasted so fresh and not just pure spice, you could really appreciate the different flavourings. I don’t think I could pick a favourite dish, I would 100% go back and have them all again.

If you are looking for an Indian Restaurant open for lunch, look no further than India Cottage in Ringwood. You will not be disappointed, whether you are looking for a business lunch, a quick alternative lunch break, or a daytime date with a loved one or friends, this is the spot to head to! Plus, when the sun eventually appears, their al fresco dining area is beautiful, would recommend sitting outside as we did.
