Love comedy? Popular comedian and actor Omid Djalili is currently touring with his The Good Times Tour, and performed in Bournemouth at the Pavilion Theatre on 4th February.
Award winning stand-up comedian Omid will be waxing lyrical about his life, his take on the world we live in and the universe in general during the tour.

Omid has earnt his credential with awards including the Time Out Award for Best Stand Up and the EMMA Award. He’s also been a nominee for a Perrier Award and the South Bank Award. And he’s not just a comedian, he has also acted from TV, to the West End to Hollywood, becoming a household name. My favourite performance of his has been in Mamma Mia – he stole the show with his brief appearance.
Talking of the show, Omid says: “it’s a celebration of stand-up comedy, and the joy of coming together as a way of catching up on fun we’ve missed out on”… “we’ve had 18 months of no live performance so if you don’t enjoy it right now, if you don’t savour every moment, goodor bad, you never will”.

I was given press tickets to attend the show in Bournemouth on Friday night and I absolutely loved it! I don’t attend comedy events often so I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I was really impressed. The warm up act was fantastic, he was easygoing, self-depreciating and got the audience laughing before Omid came on.
The show itself was a fast paced, hugely funny collection of anecdotes, audience interaction and location based jokes, which made the show that little more personable. There were a few hecklers, which was actually quite annoying, but Omid knew just how to handle them, and the night was so fun – I’d highly recommend.
If you didn’t make the Bournemouth date, do not fear as Omid’s tour continues across the country into November this year, so plenty of chances to catch him on a stage near you!
I was provided with press tickets for the show, however all words are my own.
