If you had told me a few years ago that I would be posting a photo of myself wearing lingerie on Instagram, I would never have believed you. The truth is, I have struggled with body issues for a long time, ever since I was a teenager, and I wouldn’t have had the confidence, but turning 30 a couple of years ago really helped me to work on my self esteem and now I try and embrace the body I have, that has given me children and got me through so many ups and downs over time.
When I was asked if I would like to be sent across some lingerie and nightwear from the team at IDentity Lingerie, to see what I thought, I figured it would be the perfect chance to push me out of my comfort zone a little, and to treat myself to some pretty pieces at the same time. IDentity Lingerie has so much gorgeous underwear and sleepwear, I was spoilt for choice. In the end, I decided classic black would be best, as it is so flattering, and whole set looked perfect online.
I received the delivery soon afterwards, and thought it was lovely that they included a free face mask in with the order too – very sensible to have to hand. I went for the black triangle lingerie set, with the detachable choker, which I wasn’t sure about but ended up falling in love with – it really pulled the set together, and made me feel sexy, powerful and confident.
The lace bralette and pants themselves were really comfortable material, and I really liked how flexible the sizing was, as you could adjust the straps on both the bra and knickers (which made me feel so much more confident, without the straps digging in to my hips).
I also chose the black satin and lace dressing gown, which looks amazing with the lingerie set, and is soft and silky to the touch – I loved wearing it, and kept it on all evening. It is available in other colours, and different lengths, but I love the classic short black design, which would look equally as good over a pair of pyjamas, as it does over a bra and knickers.

This brings me on to the Black silk pyjama set, which I also love. They are so soft to wear, and really flattering too. As the weather begins to get colder, it doesn’t feel sexy wearing pyjamas, but I think these style it out, and have the bonus of being really pretty too. The detailing is brilliant, and they feel really well made.
I love all the pieces I was sent from IDentity Lingerie, especially the bra with detachable choker. I’d recommend a look at their website, if you are wanting to treat yourself or a loved one, especially in the run up to Christmas – a lingerie set, set of silk pjs or luxe dressing gown would all make fantastic gifts.
